Gaming and Simulation Programming Certificate
The Gaming and Simulation Programming Certificate is designed to provide hands on learning strategies for the development of game and simulation programs for the online environment and as stand-alone end products. Theory, purpose, strategies, marketing, development and programming of various game and simulation commercial application products will be undertaken by each participant. Individual projects and team-based development will be a formal part of this certificate. Extensive use of online resources will be expected outside of the required class time.
The first course in the “programming” series will be designated as CSIT 1620 Simulation and Game Programming, which will start Fall 2008 and meets one evening per week, with additional online resources also being used. This introductory course will introduce the student to three programming languages used to develop computer stand-alone and online games and simulation products. Students should also take the MDT 1600 Game Theory and development course as a pre-requisite or co-requisite to this course.
